Facebook: Your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance.
I hope that this is just a normal site maintenance. Oh, Facebook, don’t disable my account like Robert Scoble. (Luckily he managed to reinstate it back!) Anyone having this kind of error message?

“Site Maintenance” usually means that we’re making an improvement to the database that your account is stored on. While we’re doing this, you will not be able to access your account. In most instances, this maintenance will last only a few hours. Please note:
- After the maintenance is over, you will still be able to login with the same password.
- Your profile and account will not be affected by the maintenance.
- We don’t do site maintenance on all accounts at the same time, so it is possible that some of your friends will be able to access the site while your account is unavailable.
- It is not necessary to contact us about Site Maintenance.
- If your maintenance lasts longer than 24 hours, please follow these instructions to clear your browser’s cache and cookies.

Below is the fix (for a few of you) getting the site maintenance error. I’ve been getting it since Saturday and it’s still not fixed.

This is really annoying because I manage my company’s Facebook page and we can’t update our status, pictures, videos, forums, or anything. If someone posts an issue or wants some feedback, we can’t give it, because I’m the admin and my account is inaccessible. I hope this doesn’t last for like 6 days like some people theirs is.

I started getting “account temporarily unavailable” a couple of hours ago, I can log on to my boyfriend’s account just fine… but not mine. And for the past three days I’ve also had trouble getting into my requests, this sucks!
Im seriously pissed off as well!
They shld send us a notification in the first place if they wanna fix something in the database where our accounts are located.

Same thing happened to me. I filed a complaint with the BBB at this link. I submitted emails to support and nobody acknowledged them.

My mother had the same problem, with “Site Maintenance” report.
She can’t access her beloved Farmville account.
That’s driving her crazy.
I tried to help her in all the possible ways, but I think there is no resolution for a problem like that, just because I saw many reports of problem but no one said account was reactivated.
That’s sad…
And they want a monthly fee for using Facebook ?

I set up my account on th mobie. monthes later i set up a page for my company and used my mobile number to verify. now i cant get into my facebook as my sign in is my mobile number so i cant email a conformation code as there is no email on my account

As seriously annoying as NOT HAVING MY FACEBOOK is…..i guess i understand the issue….you cant have millions of ppl using the same social networking system and not expect to have the occasional problem…..BUT i do agree that we should have at least gotten a warning about our accounts being unavailable before they were unavailable….i checked mine last night at 8….went out….came hom at 5 this morning and all of a sudden couldnt get on….im super sad about it….and i think im starting to withdrawL!….and when an addict cant get their fix….bad things happen!

it has been two days since my account was ‘unavailable due to site maintenance’. i have missed a couple of group gatherings and important discussions. i don’t understand why “a few hours” has become a few days!
Mine has been “unavalible due to site maintenance” for over 24 hours now. I will lose all my crops in farmville that I paid gold for. I feel so disconnected. I tried to contact facebook for help and they requested a screen shot so I sent it to them and got NO response at all. STILL CAN’T LOG ON =(
this is kind of depressing to see how much angst is building up because facebook is down for a couple of individuals. but yeah it sucks. lets read books instead.
did you read theres somebody who has a company page? thats not just nothing lol, is reading a book going to help his company? for e other people perhaps they can but it’s ow you keep in touch with people, I have friends from primary on facebook lol wont be able to keep in touch in any other way
